Pilgrim Wesleyan Church (PWC) Zimba Mission College of Nursing and Midwifery (ZM-CNM) mission is to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing world class nursing and midwifery education and training for the country of Zambia. With a proposed total capacity of 1,600 students, enrolled in either a three-year general degree or fourth year graduate degree, ZM-CNM goal is to graduate highly qualified nursing or midwifery students enabling them to provide excellent healthcare with Godly compassion for the poor and needy within the country. The project scope includes developing an overall site master plan with conceptual building design, phase one architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction documents.

Project Location
ZM-CNM campus will be located adjacent to PWC Zimba Mission Hospital (ZMH) in Zimba, Zambia on 16.7 hectares (41 acres) bordering along the Great North Road. ZMH has been spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing free healthcare services to the surrounding rural areas for over 70 years.

Project Scope

ZM-CNM currently enrolls 100 students, meeting in buildings of the ZMH campus with an additional 100 students scheduled for the 2022 school year.

The overall site master plan will consist of conceptual building and infrastructure designs to accommodate 1,600 students plus associated staff that can be divided into three separate phases of construction.

The civil, architectural and MEP construction documents for the first phase will be developed to accommodate 400 students plus staff and will consist of the following:

  • Student housing (400 students)
  • 11-Staff houses
  • 1-Administration facility
  • 5- Tutorial classrooms (50 seats)
  • 3-Skills labs (50 seats)
  • 1-Lecture theater (250 seats)
  • 1-computer lab (400 seats)
  • Site civil
