July 1st - July 7th

EMI Mexico is partnering with Puente de Salvacion (Bridge for Salvation) Ministries to provide techinical support in the areas of architecture, engineering and construction to a network of churches in great need of it.

Project Scope

A group of churches and ministries in rural Oaxaca, Mexico are making profound gospel impact in one of the most ethnically diverse regions in the country. Pastors and missionaries have spent years learning the customs, languages and gaining the trust of various communities. Around 15 yrs ago Puente de Salvacion Ministries was created with the desire to provide ministries in the region with a team dedicated to organizing events, networking between churches and denominations, helping launch community development projects. Through this effort the gospel began to take root in the communities, and the people's interaction with the christian faith grew. Community feeding centers, medical clinics and churches were built along the way and through the years Puente de Salvacion along with a cluster of churches and ministries have learned the value of projects like these for there ministry and connection with the cultures they serve.

On this trip we will visit two communities and support three different ministries with architectural advice, design recommendations, structural assessments, guidance on upcoming construction projects, counseling on small scale civil engineering projects related to water/wastewater systems, rainwater runoff, drainage, roads, etc.

We envision a series of interventions in a period of 5 -10 years to support this network with this trip being the first of many.
