Quality Schools International (QSI) is one of the largest non-profit education organizations in the world with 37 schools around the world and over 50 years in providing education. In order to ensure that their facilities are safe and promote a learning environment, QSI has partnered with EMI to assess several of their existing facilities.
Project Scope
This project trip will focus on QSI's school facilities in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The team will arrive in Almaty to assess the existing facilities that include a collection of school buildings and staff housing in the same site. After two days of reviewing the facilities on site, the team will present a prioritized improvements list to the school director while addresssing any specific development needs requested. From the trip, the team will provide a safety assessment that will help guide improvements at the QSI Almaty School.
This project is key in helping the school director to have confidence in their facilities and address needs that will encourage an excellent learning environment for children. The ideal volunteer candidate has experience in general building inspections.
