Mission Aviation Fellowship and EMI have collaborated in many ways over the years and we are excited to help MAF Chad continue their ministry by developing a master plan for the renovations and improvements to their staff housing facilities in N'Djamena, Chad.

Project Scope

Mission Aviation Fellowship is an international Christian organization whose mission is to fly light aircraft and to use other technology to bring help and hope to people in some of the world’s poorest communities. MAF has operated in Chad since 1966, serving remote communities through aviation. They serve local church groups, missionaries, NGOs, and development and relief agencies who are working to provide access to healthcare, safe drinking water and the Gospel to the isolated people of Chad.

Their existing staff housing facilities consist of two 2-story buildings located on an urban site.  One of the buildings is 40-50 years old and needs to be renovated or replaced whereas the other building likely requires less modification. Housing unit sizes and configurations do not align with their staff needs and are limiting growth.

EMI will work alongside MAF to assess these two existing residential buildings as well as the water, wastewater and electrical systems on the site. We will then develop a master plan for the site, along with architectural conceptual designs of the recommended renovation or replacement of existing buildings to facilitate their continued ministry in this region.  The engineering team will review existing water source, storage and distribution systems, wastewater septic and drainfields and electrical infrastructure and provide recommendations to support the recommended master plan.

We love the mission of MAF and are honored to help MAF Chad to continue to serve remote communities with practical needs and to share the love of Christ. Will you consider joining us in helping MAF Chad to assure they can continue to fulfil their calling through this master planning effort?
