EMI is thrilled to support Dakar Academy (DA) to develop a master plan and conceptual design for the expansion of their West Campus in Dakar, Senegal. We anticipate this to include a multi-story new building on this urban site.
Project Scope
The heart of Dakar Academy's (DA) mission is captured in the phrase, So All Can Serve. They partner in the advancement of the Kingdom of God by providing educational services for the children of Christian ministry workers in the region. While these students are given enrollment priority, DA’s doors are open to students from all walks of life as space permits, regardless of faith background or Christian ministry involvement.
We understand that DA is nearly complete with build-out of the 4 story building constructed about five years ago and that a master plan is needed to guide DA’s development of the site over the next 10-15 years, including conceptual architectural design of a new multi-story building that includes ground floor open space, an auditorium, classrooms, offices and other support spaces. The master plan will also include recommendations for water, wastewater, and electrical infrastructure systems.

Needs
Looking for an architect experienced with K-12 education, multi-story building design (up to 7 stories) and phased construction
Looking for a couple of civil engineers to provide conceptual design of the water and wastewater systems to support the master plan
Need one or two electrical engineers to perform general review of existing systems, provide load analysis, one line diagram, site distribution concept and solar alternatives evaluation
Need a structural engineer to develop structural engineering recommendations for the building which could be up to 7 stories in height
