Join us as we develop a master plan and conceptual design for a new 5.5 acre property for BethanyKids in Kijabe, Kenya.

Project Scope

BethanyKids (BK) is a compassionate Christian mission transforming the lives of African children with surgical conditions and disabilities through pediatric surgery, rehabilitation, public education, spiritual ministry and training health professionals. Across Africa their surgeons, therapists and wheelchair professionals have committed their lives to bringing hope to the many who have been ignored. In 2024, they provided compassionate, transformative and Jesus-centred pediatric care in: Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Niger, Sierra Leone, Uganda and Zambia.

Recently, the church in Kijabe provided a new 5.5 acre parcel of land to facilitate the continued growth of BK’s ministry in Kenya. BK intends for this new site to be used for a variety of functions including, but not limited to, wheelchair assembly and storage, possible in-patient rehabilitation services, youth training and housing for both physicians-in-training and two housing units for the church.

Given that, this EMI team will develop a master plan to guide BK’s development of the site over the next 10-15 years, including recommendations for water, wastewater, drainage and electrical infrastructure. We will also provide architectural conceptual design of one or two buildings to be constructed on the site.

The Kijabe Mission Station is full of great Christian organizations doing amazing work.  This project presents a rare opportunity to work on an undeveloped site to help one of these ministries grow.  We love the great spiritual and physical healing that BethanyKids seeks to bring to the children in the communities that surround them.  Will you join us by sharing your skills to help them further advance their mission and vision in Kenya?
