EMI is honoured to partner with Eden Global Missions as they embark on a journey to establish a new mission hospital in Cameroon. Eden Global Missions is a humanitarian and Medical and Missionary Organization founded in Cameroon. Their main aim is to provide free access to healthcare and, support access to quality education for people from underserved, rural, resource-limited or vulnerable backgrounds. Eden Global Missions was founded in 2020 by Christian medical doctors and has since then, served communities through medical missions and educational missions in several villages in Cameroon.

Eden Global Missions’ medical mission work so far has consisted of deploying specialized medical teams made of volunteer health workers, mostly from Cameroon, to villages for short-term trips. These outreach teams have involved surgical teams, dental teams, ophthalmologic teams, general medicine teams, nursing teams, and medical students. These highly qualified teams operate with the basics in low resource zones after traveling sometimes for over 500km through difficult roads to perform procedures free of charge.

Project Scope

After offering free medical care in about 10 distinct villages in different regions of Cameroon directly impacting thousands of poor and enclaved Cameroonians and refugees from the Central African Republic, they are seeking to establish a missionary hospital that will serve as a base and facilitate operations in specific regions and throughout the country. This hospital will exponentially increase the team’s reach and capacity and enable them to include long-term medical missions as part of their work. Also, such mission hospitals are extremely rare/unavailable in the region. They have now secured land for the project - 9 hectares in total of which about 2 hectares will be used for this project.

Project Scope

The proposed scope is for the building of a 100-bed capacity mission hospital that will serve the Bandongoue community, Batouri, and other regions in Cameroon. It will be comprised of 3 main structures: the hospital, a church building, and a doctors' residential area. The hospital is to provide the following services: General medicine, Dental medicine, Surgery, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Laboratory and Maternity.

Our team's scope will include development of a long-term masterplan, conceptual building design, and site infrastructure planning.

  • Programming: Starting with the list of facilities provided by Eden Global Mission, EMI will conduct further meetings with the client to draw out requirements of different spaces and conclude this task with a program listing all facilities on the site and associated space needed for each.
  • Site Masterplan: Develop a phased master site plan that incorporates findings, recommendations, and conceptual plans to support and further the mission and vision of the Client ministry
  • Conceptual Building Design: providing building concepts that include floor plans, elevations, and basic 3D images for identified Phase 1 infrastructure and buildings.
  • Site Infrastructure Planning: Assess site conditions and typical practices, and provide recommendations for water, wastewater, drainage and electrical systems.

Would you prayerfully consider joining us in partnering with Eden Global Missions as they seek to“...restore people and communities to their states of complete health, wholeness, and beauty, like in the garden of Eden.”?
