It is EMI's privilege to partner with Rift Valley Academy (RVA) in the assessment of wastewater treatment options and providing stormwater solutions. Rift Valley Academy is a large, well-known Christian school providing quality education and discipling students towards a life of following Christ, from kindergarten through 12th grade. Many graduates of RVA go on to serve in missions around the world. Investing in this project with your time is investing in the future of missions!

Project Scope

The scope of this project is divided primarily in two:

Wastewater

Rift Valley Academy currently operates on a decentralized wastewater system, with scattered septic systems on the campus. They are looking to move to a centralized wastewater treatment system, freeing up valuable space on the site currently occupied by septic systems.  Our team will assess options of tying into the neighboring hospitals wastewater treatment system or providing a package wastewater treatment plant for the school, and providing a conceptual layout of a collection system and the selected treatment solution.

Grading & Stormwater

A recent risk assessment for RVA identified areas at risk of flooding and/or landslides on the school's site. Our team will review the risks and provide conceptual grading and stormwater improvements to mitigate the risk posed in these areas.

Lastly, to support both of the above scopes, we are looking for a surveyor to provide topographical survey of select areas to provide accurate information for the design teams.
