EMI Canada has been asked to partner with Christian ministry called NewDayToday (ニューデイツゥデイ) located in Tokyo, Japan to prepare a Needs Assessment report exploring the vision for a new ministry center.

Project Scope

NewDayToday (NDTD) desires to create a rather unique building type to support their ministry vision of reaching the unreached with the gospel in the center of Tokyo. The project is envisioned as a multi-use Ministry Center facility that combines a counseling center, a fellowship area for those with disabilities, a media center, a hybrid pub / worship center and a warehouse for materials to be shipped to other parts of Japan. The purpose of this project is to define the facility needs for the selection of a site within the city of Tokyo. A number of sites in Tokyo have already been identified. EMI will be travelling to Tokyo with NDTD to assess each property site for their potential development into the Tokyo Dream Center.

EMI Canada is seeking one lead architect to join the EMI team travelling to Japan that is experienced in high seismic design, building assessment, and capable of architecture production (ideally in Revit or similar level software). The lead architect will be responsible for:

  • Leading all architecture programming meetings to obtain information from the client / ministry partners including anticipated activities, population counts, space requirements, and spatial relationships inside the proposed building.
  • Compiling and analyzing all collected site data to produce spatial relationship diagrams to graphically communicate relationships of spaces with one another.
  • Producing content for the Needs Assessment Report complete with accompanying tables, figures, and diagrams at the conclusion of the project trip.

If you are interested in joining the team, please prayerfully consider hitting the “I'm Interested” button and I will arrange a meeting to discuss more about the project and determine if you would be a good fit for the team.

Thanks!
