Mbesa Mission Hospital has been serving communities in the remote south of Tanzania since 1959, providing vital healthcare to people living near the Mozambique border. As the hospital's facilities and infrastructure have aged, a comprehensive assessment is now needed to help guide future improvements and ensure the hospital can continue serving the surrounding communities for years to come.
Engineering Ministries International (EMI) will be working alongside the hospital to evaluate the site's existing infrastructure and gather the information needed to support future planning and development.
Project Scope
During this seven-day project trip, the team will assess the hospital's essential infrastructure, including electrical, water, drainage, access routes, utilities, and existing site conditions. A key part of this work is developing an accurate topographic survey of the 109-hectare property, providing the foundation for future planning and engineering recommendations.
We are looking for one volunteer Surveyor to assist with collecting detailed site information, including property boundaries, building locations, surface elevations, utilities, roads, drainage systems, and significant landscape features. This survey will play a critical role in helping the team understand the site's current condition and identify practical improvements for the hospital's future.
