EMI Uganda's Journey of Design, Discipleship, and Diversity.

Dear friends of EMI Uganda,

This year Engineering Ministries International (EMI) Uganda marked two decades of existence. We have had the privilege of looking back to celebrate the milestones, reflect on challenges overcome, and praise God for the lives touched by His transformative power through design and construction. From the early days of vision and dreams to the realization of sustainable projects that have impacted communities across Uganda, it has been a journey marked by God's grace and guidance.

Over the past 20 years, the office has been a beacon of change, weaving a rich tapestry of design, discipleship, and diversity that has left a lasting mark on Uganda’s landscape. As we approach the end of 2023, we find ourselves expressing gratitude for what has been and anticipating what lies ahead for this office.

Designing a Better Future.

EMI Uganda’s commitment to design goes beyond architectural blueprints. In these past two decades, EMI Uganda has blended innovation with practicality, creating solutions that not only meet the immediate needs of communities but also stand the test of time. Having worked on over 300 diverse projects in Uganda and around the East Africa region in the last 20 years, the office has been instrumental in shaping spaces that empower and uplift. Each project tells a story of resilience, hope, and a dedication to help our partner ministries thrive. We are excited to see how God will use our skills to further impact the design industry in the years ahead.

Discipleship at the Core.

Beyond bricks and mortar, EMI Uganda has been a catalyst for spiritual growth and discipleship. The office understands that true transformation goes beyond physical structures—it involves nurturing hearts and minds. The integration of discipleship into our projects has fostered a holistic approach to development, recognizing that spiritual well-being is as crucial as physical infrastructure.

Having seen over 200 graduate trainees (interns), and over 100 diverse staff members join our office since it’s humble beginnings, EMI Uganda has sown seeds of lasting change. Through mentorship programs, partnerships with local churches, and intentional engagement with communities, lives have been touched, individuals empowered, and a network of faith-driven changemakers has emerged.

Embracing Diversity.

EMI Uganda understands that embracing diverse perspectives is key to tackling complex challenges. Over the past two decades, EMI Uganda has brought together professionals from various backgrounds, creating a dynamic team that works hand in hand with ministry partners across the region to bring hope to the communities we aim to serve.

This commitment to diversity has not only enriched the creative process but has also strengthened the impact of EMI Uganda’s work. By bringing together individuals with unique skills, experiences, and insights, the office has been able to tailor solutions that resonate with the diverse needs of our ministry partners.

Anticipating God's Continued Impact.

As we celebrate the past 20 years, it’s also a time to look forward with anticipation. EMI Uganda stands poised to continue its journey of impact in the new year. In the spirit of Ephesians 3:20, we are confident that God, who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, will lead us into new realms of impact and influence.

The next chapter promises new challenges, fresh opportunities, and a continued reliance on God’s guidance. As we express gratitude for the past, let us look forward with hope, knowing that God will continue to use EMI Uganda as an instrument of positive change. The legacy of the past 20 years is a foundation upon which the office will build.

We invite you to join us in prayer as we seek God's guidance for the future and trust Him to open doors for even greater ministry.

Blessings,

Clarke Means
