EMI is a Christian non-profit organisation comprised of architects, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers who prioritise Design, Discipleship, and Diversity. Since 1982, our global mission has been to develop people, design structures, and construct facilities that serve communities and the Church. Since its inception, EMI has collaborated with numerous ministries and organisations, successfully completing over 2,249 projects across 31 countries. To better support our ministry partners, and address the evolving needs of our office team, EMI Uganda is seeking a Finance Manager to steward the organization’s financial resources with integrity and excellence. This role involves overseeing financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring all financial processes align with EMI’s mission and best practices. The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Vibrant Christian faith
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit organization
- ACCA/CPA and Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws, financial reporting, and audit processes
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee financial transactions, payroll processing, and compliance with Ugandan tax laws
- Ensure effective financial systems, accountability, and internal controls
- Track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and ethical financial records
- Manage financial audits and liaise with EMI Global and Mobilizing Office finance teams
- Supervise the Finance Administrator and other finance staff
