Join us in North Carolina
The NC Chapter of the EMI Network is a local group of Christian design professionals (architects, engineers, surveyors, construction managers, etc.) from all over North Carolina. Whether you’re a seasoned EMI volunteer, looking forward to going on your first trip, or just interested in learning more about EMI, we would enjoy getting to meet you!
As opportunities present themselves, we’re connecting community across our state through our digital TEAM site. In the past we have met in Raleigh, however, our current focus is to have TEAM meetings. The key goal is for our group to collaborate to be more effective in the Great Commission and be “an answer to someone's” prayers. There are a multitude of ways that you can get involved such as:
- Attending a short-term EMI Project to use your technical skills
- Assist with disaster relief projects
- Prayer support
- Helping to provide funding for others to go on a project trip
- Collaboration with universities, churches, Samaritans Purse in NC, and professional organizations
Our NC Chapter will help to equip you for this volunteer work! At a typical meeting you may hear about recent EMI projects by chapter members, future EMI projects, or hear directly from the people that we serve on the other side of the world. Our chapter has both long-term volunteers (28 years) and those that are considering going on their first trip. You don’t even have to wait for the next meeting because the TEAM site has on-going dialog and other information. At the TEAM site you can find out when the upcoming meeting will be. The staff of EMI can’t do it all. We need you to help us promote EMI and build EMI Network Chapters in your area.
