EMI South Africa exists to advance the gospel by focusing on reconciliation and restoration through collaborative efforts with community-based ministries and NGOs in southern Africa.
Located in Cape Town we are at the crossroads of need and opportunity where we partner with ministries addressing such basic needs as shelter, care and education while also discipling and empowering the next generation of African design professionals.
Inside EMI South Africa
About EMI South Africa
EMI South Africa is a South African registered non-profit organisation (NPO 174-790) that provides Architectural and Engineering design services for Christian ministries and non-profits throughout the region.
Incorporated in July of 2016 as an extension of Engineering Ministries International, we have grown from a 5-person team of architects and engineers to a multi-disciplinary team of 14 full-time staff. We are based in the Central City district of Cape Town but serve ministry clients all around southern Africa including Angola, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. We occasionally partner with other EMI offices to work on projects in countries in other regions.
Since inception, we’ve worked on community development projects for a wide range of ministries with such focuses as orphan care, early childhood development, tertiary education, housing, job readiness training, prison ministry, health initiatives, and water sanitation & hygiene (WASH).
