Our Story
We want to use our God-given skills in His mission of restoring people to Himself. Kathleen received a calling from God to study Engineering for mission. Not knowing what that would look like, she transferred her degree to study Environmental Engineering. While traveling through majority world countries and seeing the great spiritual and physical needs, Kathleen developed a strong desire to use her engineering degree to serve others. Ten years after that initial calling, God is fulfilling that desire allowing us to bring hope to those in need through our work with Engineering Ministries International (EMI). Kathleen volunteered on her first EMI project in Nepal in 2013. Colin and Kathleen were married in 2014. and went on an EMI project trip together in 2015 to southern India and decided it was time to pursue joining EMI on a full-time basis. In 2017, we moved to Cambodia with the office launch team and completed a full year of language study before starting the office. Kathleen, an environmental engineer with a focus on water, is currently developing a WASH program for EMI Cambodia. Colin runs a moto-repair shop, training and discipling young Cambodian men in mechanics, working with integrity, and growing in their maturity in the Lord.
