Engineering Ministries International (EMI) is a global Christian organisation uniting architects, engineers, and construction professionals to design and build sustainable, life-changing facilities for communities in need. The Role
We seek a strategic, relationship-focused Christian professional to lead both partnership cultivation and communications. You’ll build and steward donor and ministry relationships, coach staff in raising ministry support, and create inspiring content to share EMI’s impact across digital and print platforms.
Location: Cape Town, South Africa | Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Bachelor’s in Business Communication, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.
- 3–5 years in fundraising, communications, or partnership development.
- Strong written, verbal, and storytelling skills (English)
- Passion for Christian ministry, cross-cultural engagement, and donor relations.
- Knowledge of social media, SEO, analytics, and CRM tools.
- Organised, proactive, and people-oriented with a growth mindset.
- Develop and manage donor and ministry partner relationships to fund EMI projects and staff.
- Coach and support staff in Ministry Partner Development (MPD).
- Create and implement communications strategies, campaigns, and content (social media, print media, newsletters, reports, videos).
- Coordinate events (virtual & in-person) for donor engagement and recruitment.
- Analyse engagement data to optimise reach and fundraising effectiveness.
- Represent EMI at network events.
Salary commensurate with experience.
