EMI Mexico’s internship program is an opportunity for young design professionals to use their skills and abilities in partnership with ministries that are making a difference in Mexico and Latin America. EMI Mexico highly values international and local interns who have a passion for serving others and giving their time and energy to contribute to the community of local Christian design professionals.
Our office is in Ensenada, Mexico. Being located on the Pacific Ocean allows us to enjoy good weather yearlong and makes the transition to Mexico smooth and exciting! While completing their internships, international interns live either with a host family or on the campus of one of our partner ministries. This allows you to experience the culture more personally and form better connections with locals.
The program starts with an orientation that introduces interns to the purpose, mission, and values of EMI as an organization and to the Mexico office specifically. For the duration of the internship, interns work closely with their project leader, meet clients, and partner with specialized volunteers. The internship also presents a possibility for travel based on project locations and needs during the term of the internship.
EMI Mexico prioritizes the overall well-being of its staff and interns by arranging for professional and spiritual mentors to walk alongside our interns and support and challenge them throughout this journey. The program’s goal is for all interns to be fruitful in both service and learning on the professional, personal, and spiritual levels.
