Celebrating Jeff Austin's 10 years of service with EMI

EMI Global,

Jeff Austin first joined EMI back in 2001, as an EMI CM intern in Guatemala. He joined staff 10 years ago in the Uganda office, serving as the Engineering Manager, a project leader, construction administration (including for The Amazima Ministries Secondary School, EMI’s largest CM project to date), and was part of recruiting essential new staff for the office. After 7 years on staff, Jeff transitioned to working for EMI USA, where he has helped develop and pilot EMI’s Fellowship Programme and now serves as leader of the “People Team”, overseeing HR, the fellowship programme, the intern program, and staff recruiting.

Jeff has blessed both offices with leading worship and coordinating office discipleship activities. He is dedicated, hard-working, caring, enthusiastic, and has a deep understanding of Scripture and theology. His ability to implement new ideas has helped pioneer new efforts in the offices he's served in and EMI-wide.

Jeff and his wife, Jennifer, live in Colorado Springs with their 4 children: Mercy, Haven, Isaac, and Benja. Thank you for many years of service and enthusiasm, Austin family!

Celebrating Randy Larsen's 20 years of service with EMI

EMI Global,

Randy Larsen has been a vital contributor to EMI across many nations and with many skills.  Randy joined EMI first as an intern, but quickly shifted into helping launch EMI’s first Latin America office in Guatemala where he served as a Project Leader and Intern Coordinator for nearly 6 years.  His passion to care for, support, and equip people was a tremendous asset that continues to grow to this day.

After returning for a season of preparation and ministry at EMI USA, Randy’s pioneering spirit empowered him to become the founding Office Director of EMI Middle East/North Africa (MENA) office in 2009.  His visionary spirit saw the MENA office grow into a place of great influence both through projects throughout the region as well as deep investment in local design professionals.  His staff team regularly commented on what an encouragement his faith and enthusiasm were to them.

In 2014, Randy returned to the US and has continued with EMI USA working remotely from Washington State where he has been a great blessing to EMI in recruiting, as well as coaching our onboarding staff in support raising (MPD).  He has played an important role in planning EMI USA’s annual Network Conference. Many of EMI’s staff worldwide give thanks to Randy for his encouragement and wisdom to promote strong partnerships with supporters and allow them to serve with EMI unencumbered.

Thank you, Randy, for 20 years of faithful and fruitful service!
