God has chosen to work in me through constant tugging and gentle steering. He put questions in my mind like, “Why doesn’t architecture give me more fulfilment?” or “How can I serve God outside of church?” Reaching dead ends trying to figure them out on my own, God helped me answer those questions by giving clues through people and situations. These experiences acted as stepping-stones leading me to join EMI.
EMI has been a space to grow both spiritually and professionally. This year will push me to grow even more as I spend time serving EMI in Senegal. Along with differences in culture and language, this opportunity brings the challenge to design in a new context. It is exciting to work with other members of the EMI family as we learn from each other, and to see how Christ is being brought to the communities of West Africa.
