Reconnecting with a long-term partner, it is EMI's deep honor to once again come alongside Tenwek Hospital in the first of two trips to provide a campus master plan and to perform an evaluation of the civil and electrical infrastructure. Tenwek Hospital plays a key role in reaching the lost in Kenya, providing compassionate, professional medical care to all in need, and equipping Christian medical professionals to extend the vision to all of Africa.

Project Scope

We are thrilled to once again travel as a project team!

Over the course of two project trips, our EMI teams will provide a facility master plan for the mission campus - incorporating the hospital's current strategic plan, programmatic input from all departments, and evaluation of the civil and electrical infrastructure - to guide the hospital’s development.

On this first trip, our EMI team will work with Tenwek Leadership to develop a program of the desired departmental changes (outpatient, emergency, pharmacy, laboratory, maternity, children’s, surgery, administration, etc.) that are anticipated at the hospital over the next 5-10 years.

On the future second trip, another EMI team will assess and determine how these anticipated changes may be accomplished on the hospital site over time. The final master plan will indication locations and sizes of all new buildings, phasing of the work, and recommended changes to the existing campus water, wastewater, and electrical utilities.

We are looking to mobilize a team of EMI staff and volunteers to Kenya in the last two weeks of September. Will you prayerfully consider joining us in designing a world of hope for Tenwek Hospital?
