EMI Uganda will be leading a team to update MAF Uganda's Kajjansi Airfield to meet new standards and requirements for their mission.
Project Scope
Mission Aviation Fellowship is an international Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft and to use other technology to bring help and hope to people in some of the world’s poorest communities.
MAF has operated in Uganda since 1986 and works in partnership with national church groups, mission groups, development and relief agencies and other non-Governmental organisations (NGOs). We currently have six aircraft and 67 dedicated personnel serving over 200 organisations with travel, logistical and technical needs.
New CAA requirements and new vision for the program in Kajjansi necessitates updates to their current masterplan, performed by EMI in 2012. The new masterplan will include new airfield access routes, runway turning circle, main entrance gate, housing, training, accomodations, conference, and terminal facilities. The EMI team will be responsible for delivering a master plan report, concept drawings, cost estimate, and concept plans/renderings for passenger terminal.
