April 21 - May 1

EMI is pleased to partner with CMA Guinea on the conceptual Master Plan and building design for the mission's campus in Conakry, Guinea. CMA’s mission is to go and make disciples of all nations, to bring all of Jesus to all of the world.

The CMA Campus is a place where many missionaries come together for rest and renewal. CMA Guinea has requested assistance from EMI to develop their property. Many of the design needs include determining which existing buildings need to be demolished, which existing ones need to be improved, and designing more space for new ministry opportunities. The proposed building will house a youth center that provides English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, computer skills training, and life skills training.

Project Scope

Phased Site Master Plan:

  • Conduct a comprehensive survey of the existing site and building plans on campus.
  • Develop a programming strategy to identify all necessary spaces required for the site and estimate their approximate sizes.
  • Propose phases and sizes for buildings/floors, including existing structures that may be expanded, repurposed, or demolished.
  • Create block diagrams illustrating the use of each floor for each building.
  • Develop high-level architectural sketches to provide a visual representation of their proposed plan.

Infrastructure Planning:

  • Investigate the existing building structure with a view towards future development.
  • Investigate the existing water, wastewater, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Provide recommendations for remediation and expansion to accommodate the client's needs.
  • Develop appropriate, contextual, and realistic conceptual engineering designs for each discipline represented on the team.

Building Design:

  • develop floor plans of the proposed buildings in phase 1 of the project in addition to remodeling plans for existing buildings as needed.

Please let us know if you'd be interested in joining this exciting opportunity!
