EMI Senegal is excited to collaborate with Waterloo Adventist Hospital in Sierra Leone to assess their existing site and buildings, along with the existing water, wastewater, and electrical systems.
Project Scope
Waterloo Adventist Hospital, a tertiary referral facility with 40 beds, is operated and run by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sierra Leone. They are considered to be the premiere hospital in Waterloo, accepting patients of all kinds (pregnant women, children, newborns, adults, geriatric, palliative, surgery, clinic, etc.). Their motivated, hard-working, well-trained staff see around 1000 patients per month (clinic and hospital patients), treating them with the highest level of care. The hospital routinely does not have running water due to a system that was installed piecemeal over decades. They have also identified issues with the toilets and sewer system on-site.
The hospital would like to improve the infrastructure on their approximately 4.5-acre hospital property in Waterloo, Sierra Leone. The scope for EMI's project team will be to perform a building and infrastructure assessment, focusing specifically on the potable water system, but also including topographic site survey, drainage, wastewater and electricity. The team will provide basic infrastructure improvement recommendations and facilitate general discussions regarding future facilities programming and an implementation plan.
Would you consider joining us in partnering with Waterloo Adventist Hospital for this ministry that is saving lives in Sierra Leone?
