EMI MENA is grateful for the opportunity to work with Lifeway Global International in Kenya to develop a hospital master plan for their Marsabit property. Marsabit County is in northern Kenya and is extremely remote. People in Marsabit and neighboring villages are considered the least reached and most isolated people groups in Africa, with little or no access to healthcare facilities in the area.
Lifeway plans to build a hospital in Marsabit on their property, which is approximately 3,200 square meters. This hospital will serve as a channel for engaging with people from those tribes to introduce them to Jesus and make them disciples. Lifeway wants to develop community members by providing health care services in the hospital, which will include both outpatient and inpatient departments, a maternity department, an operating theater, an emergency room, patient services, and other facilities.
Project Scope
Lifeway hosted a small team back in February to conduct a needs assessment study. The team met with ministry leaders and the medical team to assess and identify their needs through holding programming conversations, creating zoning diagrams, and reviewing them with the client. This next trip will build from the needs assessment study done in February.
Lifeway is excited to host an EMI team, consisting of professionals from various disciplines that will work on the overall master plan, conceptual building design, and infrastructure planning.
Would you consider partnering with EMI to bring Lifeway's vision to reality by bringing hope to people of Northern Kenya through this hospital project?
