EMI Mexico is partnering with Oasis After School Program A.C. for the design of their new educational facilities to replace their current deteriorating building in Vicente Guerrero, Baja California.

Project Scope

Oasis is an educational after school program for kids and teenagers in Colonia Vicente Guerrero, Baja California, Mexico, located about 175 miles south of the U.S./Mexico border at San Diego. It is a safe place for kids to come and play after school, receive help with their homework and school supplies, do arts and crafts, eat a hot meal, and learn English, computer skills, and other subjects.

The current on site buildings are in a deteriorating structural condition. continous repair activities have been costly to the ministry as well as hindering their daily activities.

The EMI team will design new buildings to replace the current buildings. A structural assesment is needed to metigate the risk of future land settlement issues. The EMI team will also consider water distribution, wastewater and stormwater management as well as electrical utilities on site.
