A Heart for Wisdom School Masterplan, Cambodia

The Organization, A Greater Hope, is dedicated to supporting the local community in Takeo Province by investing in its future—its children. The organization shares the Good News of Christ while offering home care, education, and outreach programs.

Project Scope

Currently, A Heart for Wisdom School (a project under A Greater Hope) has an existing school facility located in Takeo province already. EMI has been requested to design a new campus master plan to support the school’s future growth in a nearby area. The organization has already partially acquired land in this location and is continuing to purchase additional surrounding properties. This new future 10-hectare site in Takeo has a relatively flat surface area. The number of students is expected to grow exponentially in the next 10 years, so the ministry client desired to have all school-related facilities, children’s homes, staff housed, and clinic on site. The new campus should also include sport areas (e.g. Soccer and baseball fields, basketball court), outdoor swimming pool, and agriculture (animal husbandry, gardens, and farms).​​​​​

Scope of Work:
1.    Gather site data and architectural program parameters on the site visit.
2.    Develop a phased master plan for the 10-hectare site to include: 
     a)    Project programming and phased development plan 
     b)    Architectural site zoning for various uses (housing, school, farm, etc.) to large scale
     c)    Water supply master plan that may include rainwater collection 
     d)    Wastewater treatment master plan 
     e)    Electrical master plan layout and preliminary sizing 
     f)    Capture drone imagery of the sites (for visualization and communication purposes) 
     g)    Develop ten to twelve (10-12) images (for fundraising and communication purposes) 
     h)    Provide a summary report explaining master plan design consideration.
