Domestic Projects are a newer focus area for EMI Canada, yet their impact on ministries who serve within Canada is already shown to be substantial. Unlike many of our international projects, domestic projects tend to involve smaller EMI teams, providing Canadian ministries who are considering a capital project with research, assessment, pre-design materials, and a final report.

When walking through the empty field in Uganda, one can’t help but be struck by the rugged beauty of the surrounding hills and the majesty of God’s creation. Located about 70 km west of Kampala, the field is owned by Precious Ones International Christian School.

On Sept. 3, UK Part Two Architectural Assistant Genevieve Leake stepped into the EMI Canada office for the first time to start her internship. We sat down with Genevieve to discuss her experiences and hopes for her time with EMI Canada.

EMI Canada sent a project team to the town of Taisha, Ecuador on June 13. Partnering with Fundación Pachamama, the team worked to assess the suitability of three potential sites to build a birthing house and to provide architectural guidance to Fundación Pachamama on the design of the facility.
