EMI is a non-profit Christian development organization made up of architects, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers who use our skills to serve people worldwide through the design of hospitals, schools, water systems, and many other facilities. This summer we are mobilizing 8 US interns to our offices in Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, Colorado, and our MENA (Middle East/North Africa) office. Each intern will work alongside a team of multi-disciplinary and multi-national design professionals to provide design services for multiple ministry clients. Description of the Intern Program:
An EMI Internship is a professional and spiritual discipleship journey that challenges individuals to apply their faith, education, and skills to serve the body of Christ worldwide. Interns work closely with their assigned project manager to produce project design plans for a ministry client while receiving 1-on-1 spiritual mentorship and an immersive experience working cross-culturally. How is this intern cohort funded:
Because our staff and interns raise support, EMI is able to offer discounted design services to ministries all over the world - approximately $75,000 in value per project! Our summer internships cost an average of $7,500 per intern. These costs cover all of the expenses related to their internship including international airfare, project costs/visas, lodging/personal expenses, orientation, and mobilizing expenses. Your support of this campaign helps to fund all costs for these 8 interns and has a multiplication effect by equipping us to serve many ministry clients from each of these different offices.
Thank you for considering a ministry partnership with EMI!
At EMI, we're driven to be good stewards of our resources and have received the highest commendations for doing so: ECFA accredited and Certified Transparent by Excellence in Giving.
